Is the technology used in Haiti the same as the technology used in the Americas?
Dear Curious,
The simple answer is no, the technology is not the same at all. After the earthquake, the Haitians did not have much access to anything, especially technology. The technology use in Haiti is extremely low. For example, the Haitians probably never heard of an iPad before and I don't think one of them even owns a smart phone. Compared to the Americas, this is outrageous because a numerous amount of the population owns a smart phone or has an iPad. Overall, Haiti does not own much technology due to the damages from the earthquake and the lack of money.

Dr. Carly, I hope that somehow our country can aid Haiti in increasing their level of technology, it's such a shame what the earthquake has done!
ReplyDeleteDr. Carly, What a different lifestyle. I can't imagine not having the technology we have in America. I hope we can work with Haiti to help turn their country around and get them back on track.
