Dear Dr. Carly,

What is the transportation like in Haiti?

Dear Mysterious,
The most common form of public transportation is the use of brightly pickup trucks that are taxis.  They are called "tap-taps".  Haiti does have cars, however, many of them were destroyed/damaged and were abandoned.  Many cars were even stolen and others were killed in the earthquake.  Haiti has two international airports called Port-au-Prince International
Airport and Cap-Haitien.

  1. I hope that their transportation is safe!

  2. If we called our taxi service "tap-tap" that would be awesome. I'm glad Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haitien airports are still fully functioning.
